Nempco starter cover

Here's a poor picture of my new starter cover after installation. It is a run of the mill starter cover made for all Harley-Davidson scoots, 1980-1988 with 5 speed transmissions. It is a Nempco part number #16-49-0896, but can also be bought from Custom Chrome with their part # 25-266.



Using a Dremel tool and cutting wheel, I cut and radiused openings for the starter wire and electrical stud. Then, I installed a screw and cap nut to block the original mounting opening for the Harley starter. Finally, I drilled and tapped two 6-32 holes in the Vulcan starter housing, and match drilled the starter cover accordingly and installed with Stainless Steel cap screws.
