H-D Road King Classic Saddlebags...

These are pictures of my new saddlebag projects for
the 800 Vulcan. These are the hard leather covered Road King Classic bags for a Harley
Davidson motorcycle. I've always loved the looks of these bags, and they are HUGE. I bought
them with removable liners.

Here's a shot from the rear...you'll notice that I had
to fabricate the new rear turn signal mounts. I used the rear signals from a 1500 Vulcan
Classic, then cut and contoured about 2.5" from both sides. The mounting rails were fabricated
from stainless steel sheet.

I think these bags changed the entire look of my
motorcycle, giving it a longer and more streamlined look. The lids hinge upwards, and the buckles on the
sides actually have quick releases for closure.

I added the Kawasaki Fire and Steel Wide Dresser Bars
in front of the bags to help protect them in a fall (and add a little more chrome). The
Jardine Sissy Bar was modified for a "somewhat" quick release, only requiring about 3 minutes
to install or remove.

Here's one final shot of the setup. I am planning to
add the Road King Classic Tour Pack (trunk) that matches the bags, for the extra storage space needed onlong trips.
The Tour Pack will be installed with quick releases, so I don't have to ride with it on all the
time. An added feature of the tour pack is the integral passenger backrest, so the Jardine will
soon be out the door :-)
